> Alcuni studi per lavori su carta che costituiranno il progetto "Oltre il buio", un ciclo di opere in divenire con cui affronterò il tema della guerra e del degrado dell’umanità del nostro tempo.

La storia sembra ripercorrere drammaticamente i propri passi, così partendo dalla memoria dell’eccidio nazifascista di Sant’Anna di Stazzema, nasce la mia riflessione sul mondo contemporaneo e sulla preoccupante deriva oscurantista del XXI° secolo in corso.

Mai come in questo periodo l’umanità è giunta sull’orlo del precipizio e le coscienze sembrano anestetizzate ed omologate ad un unico pensiero, cosicché vicende drammatiche, sofferenze e preoccupanti scenari futuri, se non addirittura imminenti, scivolano via nell’indifferenza di una quotidiana abitudine ai fatti.

In un simile contesto storico, politico e sociale che fa intravedere nubi sempre più fosche all’orizzonte, c’è però uno squarcio di luce che cerca di filtrare dal buio.  Ed è proprio oltre il buio che devono volgere gli sguardi di tutte le coscienze che sentono il bisogno di testimoniare il loro sdegno e di operare per un cambiamento.

L’Arte in questo senso ha sempre svolto e può continuare a svolgere una funzione importante nel raccontare, denunciare e testimoniare la storia attraverso l’elaborazione creativa dell’immagine che supera la retorica, penetrando con forza nella sfera emotiva di ognuno di noi.

Attraverso un dipinto, una musica, un verso poetico provochiamo un’emozione che scalfisce la dura scorza delle nostre apparenti convinzioni razionali e ci trasporta in una dimensione più vicina all’ Anima.

L’arte ci aiuta a essere Umani, ossia esseri capaci di provare sentimenti, emozioni, di avere un pensiero critico e farci sentire persone migliori, capaci di reagire all’indifferenza.

Le opere che presenterò in questo ciclo non sono immagini didascaliche, non raccontano storie reali né raffigurano personaggi, bensì aprono porte su mondi immaginari, testimoniano l’angoscia e il dolore del nostro tempo, ma lasciano intravedere sempre una luce di speranza.

E’ dal dolore che si può rinascere, è dalle macerie che si può ricostruire fondamenta più forti e sicure su cui edificare la nostra nuova Casa.

Never as in this period has humanity reached the edge of the precipice and consciences seem anaesthetised and homologated to a single thought, so that dramatic events, sufferings and worrying future scenarios, if not even imminent, slip away in the indifference of a daily habit of facts.
In a similar historical, political and social context that glimpses increasingly dark clouds on the horizon, however, there is a glimm of light that tries to filter through the darkness. And it is precisely beyond the darkness that they must turn the eyes of all consciences who feel the need to witness their indignation and to work for a change.
In this sense, Art has always played and can continue to play an important function in telling, denouncing and witnessing history through the creative elaboration of the image that surpasses rhetoric, penetrating strongly into the emotional sphere of each of us.
Through a painting, a music, a poetic verse we provoke an emotion that scratches the harsh rind of our apparent rational convictions and transports us to a dimension closer to the Soul.
Art helps us to be Human, that is, beings capable of feeling feelings, emotions, having critical thinking and making us feel better people, capable of reacting to indifference.
The works that I will present in this cycle are not captioned images, they do not tell real stories or depict characters, but open doors to imaginary worlds, testify to the anguish and pain of our time, but they always give a glimpse of a light of hope.
It is from the pain that you can be reborn, it is from the rubble that you can rebuild the strongest and safest foundations on which to build our new House.
